One of our subscribers suggested that we take a look at Beegie Adair and her unique style as she plays over “Fly Me to the Moon.”
This sheet music contains a transcription of her introduction to the tune, but also I’ve transcribed the first eight bars. It’s important to understand how she does what she does, and rather than transcribe her entire performance, which takes a long time, I’ve done a little bit of it and you can hear all about it in the video below.
The sheet music also includes an example of an A minor scale played in block chords, which alternates from minor chord to diminished chord. Very useful stuff!
